January can feel like such a long month and often a little flat. The evenings are dark and the hustle and bustle of the festive season is over. However, over the last few years, I have learnt to actually embrace the month of January. It’s a fresh start, a clean slate. 365 days lie ahead to create whatever you dream of! There are three things that I do at the start of each year…
- The first thing is take some time to reflect on the previous year. I think we are always so keen to look forward to see where we are going or where we want to be, that we can often forget how far we’ve come in a year. A lot can change and good or bad, there’ll always be experiences that I’ve learnt from.
- I then create my vision board for the year. If you are reading this thinking; “What on earth is a vision board?” I’ll explain. A vision board is a selection of pictures that you collect from magazines, Pinterest or wherever else you want to. The pictures resonate with something you’d like to do or something you’d like to feel. Maybe somewhere you would like to visit or something you would like to buy. One rule for your vision board though is dream big! If you’ve ever read the book “The Secret” you’ll know that Law of Attraction, (LoA) is a really powerful thing. By creating my vision board I have attracted many different experiences into my life. For example, working with Sienna X live at Olympia, being featured in magazines, a new iPad Pro, holidays and lots more. Once my vision board is created, I hang it on my office wall so that I connect with it everyday.
- The final thing I do is create my dream jar. This contains all my wishes and goals for the year. I write them all down on a piece of paper, fold them up and place them inside the jar. Each day I’ll pick one out and read it out loud. I then close my eyes and visualise that wish or goal coming true.
This all may sound a little bit woo woo, but it works, I promise! So my question to you is, what do you want to do in 2018? Why not create your own vision board or dream jar and see what dreams you can make come true… I would love to know your wishes for 2018, so why not share it with me in the comments section below.
Whatever the year ahead has in store for us, I hope it’s full of all we dream of!
Love, Nina x

I’ve heard of jar of miracles where you pop a note in of something lovely and, or amazing that happened you that day and you read all of your memories at the end of the year.
I’m going to start your idea tomorrow xx
