Behind The Scenes: My Evening Skincare Routine

Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty May Blog Post

I often get asked about the products I use for make up and skincare, so with that in mind I thought I would share with you my evening skincare routine. I love nothing more than finishing a long day, coming home, changing in to my pjs and taking off my make up. I really enjoy cleansing “the day away” and allowing my skin to breathe. My skin can be sensitive so I always need to be a little careful of what I use. To remove my eye make up, I use Micellar Water. It’s really gentle and removes even my waterproof mascara with ease.

Step One..

I start by applying apply my Cleanse and Polish all over my face and massage in. I do this on to dry skin, working in small circular motions all over my face and neck. I would then rinse my cotton cloth under hot water and remove. The cloths help to remove dead skin cells and instantly leave my skin feeling brighter and smoother. I would then splash cold water over my face to close my pores.

Step Two…

Next I would apply a few drops of Instant Boost Skin Tonic to a cotton pad and wipe all over my face and neck. This helps to brighten, revive and soothe my skin, plus it’s alcohol free so doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight.Step Three…

Finishing off with my Moisturiser. I use the one for dry/sensitive skin but there is also a normal/combination one too. It gently restores moisture, softens skin and protects against dryness. The scent of all of the products is absolutely divine too!Untitled design-2Step Four…

Finally before bed, I apply one to two pumps of the Superskin Concentrate into my hands, rub together and massage all over my face and neck and let it work it’s magic! It helps to rebalance and plump skin for a healthier appearance. This is one of my absolute favourite products!

I cannot recommend the Liz Earle skincare range highly enough, and can honestly say, my skin has never felt so clean. You can find out all about the amazing skincare range and more, over on the Liz Earle website. I’m not an affiliate for Liz Earle, I just love recommending products that work, and make me feel lovely when I use them.

Until next time, love the skin you’re in!

5 Beauty Must-Haves You’ll Want This Winter

Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty

It’s no secret, I love beauty products and I truly love ones that work and do what they say they will! Therefore this month, I wanted to share my top 5 beauty must-haves you’ll want this Winter.Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty

Liz Earle Deep Nourishing Mask…

From time to time, and especially as the weather begins to get colder, my patch of eczema can start to appear again. This mask has become a real hero product for me and has really helped to keep my skin nourished. Double cleanse as normal, pat dry and then apply a generous layer of the mask, leave for 10-15 minutes and remove with the hot cloth. I promise, your skin will feel absolutely amazing afterwards!

Sienna X One Hour Mousse…

This is my go-to tan and is perfect for those last minute nights out! It allows me to achieve a flawless finish without the 8-10 hour development time. For best results, always pair with the Secret Tan Primer and Mitt. Apply in circular motions, sweeping over hands and feet. Shower off after just 60 minutes* and allow your golden glow to develop over the next 2-8 hours.

*Can be left on for up to 3 hours, depending on desired shade.Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty

Sienna X Radiance Body Balm…

It’s important to keep our skin nourished and hydrated throughout the Winter months. The cold weather and central heating can play havoc and really dry out our skin. I couldn’t be without this! It really enhances the appearance of my skin, even without a tan, plus it smells absolutely divine!Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty

Benefit Mascara “They’re Real”…

I struggled for ages to find a mascara that I liked. I was tired of seeing the adverts, seeing models with beautiful long, voluminous lashes, only to see at the bottom of the screen, “this advert has been filmed with lash inserts” So basically, my lashes aren’t going to look anything like this then are they? However, I’m really glad to say, They’re Real give my lashes a fuller, thicker look… Thank you Benefit Cosmetics for giving us girls a mascara we can rely on!Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty

MAC Pro Longwear Lipstick…

This is one of my favourite lipsticks! It’s really nice to wear, without the sticky feeling that some lipsticks can give and it genuinely lasts really well! There are lots of colours within the Pro Longwear collection to suit every occasion and skin tone. For longer lasting results with any lipstick, I would always use a lip pencil and colour in your full lip. This might sound odd, but give it a try!

Until next time, have a very Merry Christmas!

How To Revive Your Skin After Summer…

With the Summer holidays almost over, there is no better time to replenish and revive your skin. Daily life can take its toll on our skin, sun exposure, pollution and make up can all contribute to our skin feeling dehydrated and lacking lustre.

I love to try new products, but my skin is quite sensitive so I have to be careful what I use. However, I’ve loved using the Liz Earle skincare range and this month, I wanted to share with you some of my favourite products and help you revive your skin after Summer…

Cleanse & Polish…

From the first time I used this cleanser, my skin felt instantly cleaner and fresher. Simply apply one to two pumps and massage onto dry skin, working in circular motions over the face and neck. Rinse your cloth under hand-hot water and squeeze out the excess. Remove cleanser and finish by splashing cold water over face. I use this both in the morning and the evening.

Instant Boost Skin Tonic…

After cleansing I apply the Skin Boost Tonic to a cotton pad and sweep over my face and neck. The toner contains Aloe Vera and Calendula Extract which are both known for their hydrating and soothing properties. Some toners I have used in the past, left my skin feeling dry, but this one leaves my skin feeling cool and refreshed.

Skin Repair Moisturiser…

This lightweight moisturiser is easily absorbed in to the skin and unlike some moisturisers won’t leave your skin feeling overloaded and greasy. It contains Avocado Oil and Echinacea Extract which help to nourish and condition the skin beautifully. Oh and it smells divine!

Gentle Face Exfoliator…

This product is gentle, yet so effective and perfect for when your skin feels a little dull or congested. It leaves my skin feeling brighter, smoother and refreshed.

Deep Cleansing Mask…

I have found this a great product to use, especially when at certain times of the month, my skin can be prone to breakouts. The mask contains green clay which helps reduce oiliness and draw out impurities to leave skin feeling balanced and calm.

I’m not an affiliate for the brand, I just love to share products that work. I also believe that every woman deserves to feel beautiful and confident in her own skin. If you would like to find out more about Liz Earle and the full range of products available, you can visit her website here.

Until next time, enjoy being the beautiful you!
