How A Tan Will Boost Your Happiness and Confidence

October Blog Post

With the colder months just around the corner, those long Summer days might be feeling like a distant memory. But fear not, because this month, I’m sharing how a spray tan can boost your happiness and confidence.

I truly believe that a spray tan is so much more than just a solution being applied to your skin. I think it’s pure happiness for your mind and body too! By having a light natural glow, this will help you feel happier and healthier.

We all know that a tan makes us feel better, but did you know it can also make you feel slimmer and more toned? Yes, you did read that right! It’s a fact ladies, a tan will make you feel the most beautiful version of yourself and leave you glowing with confidence.

The next few months bring shorter days and longer nights with a real lack of sunshine, so why not create your own? Stepping out into the cold air can often play a part in our skin drying out and what better way to rehydrate it than with a spray tan that really helps to enhance the appearance of your skin too.

For me, a tan doesn’t just make me feel happier, it makes me feel more confident too and I would love every woman reading this to feel the same way. Let’s embrace what we’ve been given, rather than apologise or feel rubbish about it. Body confidence is a huge insecurity for many of us and if I can help you to shine a little brighter, then that’s when I know the magic of what I do has happened!

If you would like any additional information on self tanning products or a professional spray tan, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch by leaving a comment below or drop me a message over on my Facebook page.

Until next time, glow and be you!

Why Self Care Is So Important

Be Beautiful Hair & Beauty

Self care is something that us women often neglect. We can end up putting everything, including others before ourselves. Life is busy, with many of us juggling home, work and family life, so this month I wanted to share with you why self care is so important…

Before I begin, I hold my hands up, my self care routine isn’t that great, however this is something that I am going to work really hard on changing. A lot of it is to do with mindset, we can often feel guilty about taking time out, however to avoid overwhelm and to maintain our health, it really is vital.

Last year, we were doing some building work at home so had made the decision to not go away on holiday, but as a result, I took no real time off. I had become a slave to my business without even realising. We then went away for the first two weeks of January and it was only then, I realised how much I needed a break.

This kind of ‘lifestyle’ isn’t sustainable and eventually would of turned into complete burnout. So, my question to you is, and I want you to be really honest with yourself; When was the last time, you did something just for you?

We often think that self care needs to cost us money, but it really doesn’t. It doesn’t always have to be a spa day or a weekend away. Sometimes it can just be going for a walk and getting back in touch with nature or having a bath with your favourite candle and glass of Prosecco.

With Valentine’s Day later this month, I think there is no better time to show yourself some love! Why not take yourself on a date. Go to your favourite cafe, have lunch or treat yourself to a shopping day. Even if you don’t buy anything, your body and mind will thank you for giving it a day of just wandering!

So what will you commit to this month, how can you give yourself the gift of some self care? I’d love you to share with me one thing you’ll do this month in a comment below.

Until next time, show yourself lots of love!

Are You Getting Enough Time For You?

As women, we are often spinning many plates on a daily basis. We juggle work, family life, running a home, planning time with family and friends, as well as ensuring the children’s social calendar is all running like clock work too!

At the moment, I don’t have to worry about the child aspect, however I completely get the rest of it and so I want to ask you a question today; do you ever take time out for yourself? I’m guessing there will be a the odd few of you that are nodding and saying yes but I would imagine the majority of you reading this are saying no, and perhaps even thinking, “time out for me”, what even is that?

Well firstly, if it makes you feel any better, you are not alone! I am just as guilty of this as perhaps you are and have to confess, I find it extremely difficult to take time out away from my business. My job is my passion, and I can honestly say, I truly love what I do, hence why I often find it hard to take a step back and do something just for me.

Is this a good place to be? One could argue, no it’s not! Don’t get me wrong I count myself so lucky to have the amazing clients I do and a job that makes my heart sing, however I also need to be realistic, excessive pressure and stress over time can lead to poor health, mental burnout and exhaustion.

This is why “me time” is so important and why I’ve decided to ditch the guilt! I need to change and actually use my day off as a day off, rather than using that time to work on my business. I’m going to spend more days at the place pictured above. I think us women give ourselves such a hard time on occasions. “Pampering” ourselves is often viewed as a luxury, but I now know, more than ever it’s not, it’s actually a necessity! We are no good to ourselves or anyone around us if we are mentally exhausted!

It doesn’t need to take a lot of time or cost a lot of money, just simple things often work well and are easier to stick to, like taking a warm bath full of bubbles, lighting your favourite candle or reading a good book, whatever it is that will help you unwind your mind and body after a busy day, you owe it to yourself!

So here’s to claiming back some well deserved “me-time” ladies because as the famous beauty company always says, “Because you’re worth it!”
