In the Winter months we can often neglect our skin care regime, mainly because we spend most of our time covering it up until the Spring. However, with the change in temperatures, it really is even more important to keep our skin hydrated. Therefore I thought I would share some top tips and some amazing products for keeping your skin happy and healthy this Winter…
After a long day at work, there’s no better treat than a nice long soak in the bath. Try to keep the water on the warmer side, rather than to hot, as to much hot water can dry your skin out.
It’s also really important to remove dead skin cells to, this helps keep skin looking and feeling at its best. I personally love “Body Smooth” by Tropic and would say to use this or a similar product at least once or twice a week.
Another firm favourite of mine is “Body Love” also from Tropic. It smells like Lemon Meringue Pie and just melts into your skin. This moisturiser can be used all over the body and works wonders for enhancing the appearance of skin as well as keeping it hydrated.
Even though the Winter months will make you feel less thirsty, it’s just as important to drink plenty of water. This not only greatly improves the appearance of skin, it also helps reduce fatigue, flush out toxins and improve your mood.
Whenever we head outside, we all naturally wrap up, however one area that is always exposed is our face. Therefore I would always recommend protecting your skin with an SPF Moisturiser, Foundation and Lip Balm. Just because we can’t feel the warmth of the sun, the harmful rays of UVA and UVB are still there.
